The department provides the diagnostic and medical help to patients with the following pathology:

• Primary and secondary immunodeficiency states  (recurrent bacterial skin infections  and hypodermic cellular tissue (pyodermas, abscesses, phlegmons out of acute condition); herpes recidivicus of various localization out of acute condition;  local and system dysbacteriosis; frequently suffered  from acute respiratory virus infection ), etc.;
• Ecological dysadaptation syndrome (states after heavy stress, chronic tiredness syndrome );
• Allergopathology  (atopic dermatitis,  bronchial asthma, out-of-attack period; allergic rhinosinusopathy);
• Somatoforming disorders;
• The separate group consists of patients with alopecia. The given category of patients is examined thoroughly aiming to reveal the cause of disease and define treatment tactics. Positive dynamics of hair growth and disease regression is observed at 90 % of patients against a treatment background.
• Patients have the opportunity to be examined thoroughly on the base of the department concerning agnogenic subfebrilitet, pains of various localization, general weakness and indisposition.

 Diagnostic Examinations 

Patients have wide opportunities for the profound examination using state-of-the-art facilities and receiving treatment from the competent experts:

• The character of immunodeficiency states is established after immunological examination including immunophenotyping, definition of antibodies by turbodimetric method, estimation of compliment system, phagocytosis. Patients with revealed agammaglobulinemia  receive constant replaceable therapy by  antibodies preparations for intravenous introduction;
• Bacteriological test;
• Endoscopic investigation  (fibrogastroduodenoscopy, fibrobronchoscopy, colonoscopy);
• Ultrasonic examination of abdominal cavity organs , kidneys,  thyroid gland, heart;
• R-logic examination  including  computer tomography, density sensitometry;
• Magnetic resonance tomography;
• Functional tests (study  of  external respiration function , veloergometry);
• Arterial pressure daily monitoring,  EKG Holter Monitoring ;

The patients of the ecological risk also have the opportunity to undergo barotherapy, medical plasmaspheresis, acupuncture, to attend group and individual psychotherapy.
The classes on "Clinical Immunology" are arranged on the base of the department involving the students of the 6th year of the Gomel State Medical University.

The department provides free-of-charge medical care to citizens of the Republic of Belarus (children and adults) referred by doctors from Belarusian medical institutions on hospitalization. The priority is given to people participated in liquidation of the Chernobyl consequences and residing in the areas contaminated by radionuclides. Foreign citizens can obtain paid medical services.

Hospitalization is provided by prerecord after consultation or after consideration of the submitted medical documents by doctors of various specialties.

 Research Activity

The doctors of the department take part in the scientific program on elaboration  and implementation of laser therapy  unified technique for liquidators of the Chernobyl consequences suffering from  blood circulation system diseases,  including magneto therapy unified technique for  liquidators of the Chernobyl consequences  with  blood circulation system and endocrine organs diseases ; the specialists are engaged into studying of the remote effects of immunocrigent  therapy of the patients residing in the areas contaminated by radionuclides.
