Surgical Treatment of Endocrine Disorders
Thyroid Surgery
The Department of Surgery at the Republican Research Center for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology is a leading center for endocrine surgery in Belarus. We specialize in the treatment of thyroid and parathyroid disorders.
- Hemithyroidectomy (thyroid resection)
- Total thyroidectomy
These procedures fully comply with evidence-based recommendations of top international endocrine surgery centers.
We use precision surgical techniques to ensure anatomical accuracy and safety, with mandatory visualization and preservation of:
- The parathyroid glands
- The recurrent laryngeal nerves, which are critical for vocal cord and laryngeal muscle function
When indicated, surgical treatment of parathyroid disorders includes gland removal with the possibility of parathyroid tissue autotransplantation.
Collaboration and Expertise
Our department works closely with regional endocrinology and oncology centers across Belarus, including:
- Gomel Regional Endocrinology and Oncology Dispensary
- Mogilev Diagnostic Center
- Brest Endocrinology Dispensary

We also utilize telemedicine technologies to enhance collaboration and patient care.
